Now that our kitchen project is finished, I want to once again thank you for the way you helped us create our dream and make it come true.    

We had postponed this project for years, in part because we did not trust that the result would be OUR kitchen and not some designers vision. Also, we actually still liked our kitchen but knew it was very dated and needed some conveniences as well. Then a friend recommended you and we saw what you achieved for her, and we knew we had found the right designer/creative partner for our project.  

We appreciated how you listened to us and respected our view points – and our budget. You had fresh ideas that were within our concepts. Your sense of humor, positive energy, and creativity made this big project actually pleasant! And you patiently gave us time to decide – no pushing or rushing on these big decisions. Every time I look at the sparkling new countertop and tile, the warm wood cabinets, and brushed metal finishing touches, I see MY kitchen dream right before my eyes.   

As you know, I have created a list of more projects on which I want your collaboration, and we recently recommended you to a friend who is a stuck as we used to be.  

You are a treasure and we are so glad we found you!  Thanks a million for our new kitchen.

When I met Kristy, I had just moved into my apartment and needed to furnish it.  I told her I was looking for some living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture.  She asked me to give her the rough dimensions of the rooms, and immediately began drawing layout possibilities for the design of my living room.  I was amazed.   

Upon her arrival in my home, she took the measurements of my space, and we sat and talked for a while so she could get to know me and what style fit my personality.  I gave her carte blanche, and told her that I wanted a space that people would walk into and say, “WOW, this is fabulous.”  

My mother was with me to view her completed design.  We were both floored.  As we looked at her staging of the furniture, artwork, accent pieces, and window treatments, we could say nothing but “WOW!” with our mouths wide open.  It was simply gorgeous.  Each of the pieces complemented the next.  She assured me there would be no other rooms like mine – it was my own, personal design, and she did a fantastic job of capturing my personality.  I was hooked.  I had to have it. Upon delivery of the furniture, Kristy came to my house to ensure that each piece was properly placed, even overseeing the installation of the window treatments.  I started with the living and dining room space, and she did such a fantastic job, I returned to her for the bedroom.  She did it again.  Again, Kristy gave my room “the WOW factor.”  

Before working with Kristy, my spaces were just… livable.  Now, they look amazing, and make me feel great.  During the process, Kristy made me extremely comfortable, and over the course of designing my three rooms, we became the best of friends.  

I would highly recommend Kristy to a friend.  I can’t say enough how amazing she is at designing rooms.  The only way for you to know is to actually give her a chance and hire her.  I assure you that you will not be disappointed.  She’s fantastic!

When we moved into our house, we were immediately overwhelmed by where to place the furniture.  We had just purchased a baby grand piano, and although we knew it would fit in the living room, we hadn’t realized that it would swallow all of the other furniture!  We contacted Kristy in the hopes that she could help us, but we weren’t convinced she could make much difference.  She not only pleasantly surprised us, but amazed us by how much difference furniture placement and color can have on our daily lives.  The cohesive design between the dining room and living room allows the space to serve as a recital hall, as well as a comfortable, stylish place to entertain visitors.   

We were hooked and have asked for Kristy’s input on a variety of rooms, wall color projects, and accessory placements.  Her high energy and willingness to work within the confines of a tight budget, existing furniture, family antiques and accessories that we can’t live without prove to us over and over that she truly makes a significant contribution to the enjoyment of our home.  We find her knowledgeable and very thoughtful as to the function of the space with creative use of color and fabric making the spaces speak to our personalities.

We knew our bedroom needed some help, but we didn’t want to spend a lot of money.  Dark furniture, dark walls (which we did not want to repaint), and our request to “lighten it up,” seemed impossible to do, all within [the Budget-Magic Makeover].  Always up for a challenge, Kristy came back to us with the PERFECT solution.  Clean, crisp bedding, an adorable sitting area, light and airy window treatments, and wall art that completed the look have given our bedroom a spa-like feel.  We love it!

I began working with Kristy when my previous designer was relocated out of state.  This meant that Kristy had to walk into my project in the middle, and pick up a multitude of loose ends and decisions.  Kristy was able to get up to speed very quickly, and keep the project moving.  She did an outstanding job of understanding the look that I wanted, and providing excellent recommendations, to complete the remaining components of our project.   

The end result is a space that meets all the objectives we set out to achieve.  The space is beautiful, but feels like home.  We use the space more, because we actually want to be in the room!  My favorite thing about the space is that it looks and feels like a haven, that has been acquired with cherished pieces over the course of many lifetimes.

Working with Kristy takes decorating to a whole new universe!   

From the moment she put black chairs with a wood dining table, I knew that I was going to get a room beyond my imagination. However, the room is still me – it’s my colors, it’s my style. It fits my house and my lifestyle. It’s simply been put together by a creative professional instead of – well, me!  

Just last week, a friend dropped by to visit. As we sat and talked, she suddenly stopped and said, “This is such a welcoming room. It gives off such a warm vibe.” That’s exactly what I wanted and Kristy translated that perfectly to the room!

My husband and I built our home 20+ years ago, and have been busy living our lives, raising our son, and working, without any thoughts as to our home’s decorating.  One day we stopped to look around and realized we had a mix of furniture in all our rooms… old, antique, mismatched, and boring.  Neither one of us has an eye for style or design, and we knew we desperately needed help.  That’s when we met Kristy Nichols, who has changed everything for us!  

One of the first things Kristy did was to ask about our lifestyle, interests, hobbies, and what we were hoping to achieve in redecorating our home.  She came to our home, took pictures and measurements, and started her extraordinary design process in motion.  We met again shortly after, where she showed us incredibly detailed hand drawings of her design suggestions, as well as computer generated floor plans for each of our rooms.  She even incorporated the pieces of furniture etc. of our own that we wanted to keep in the new design.  She had laid out fabrics, paints, furniture – everything, so that we could “see” exactly what her proposal would look like.  She had listened to everything and understood exactly what we were “trying” to say – and she stayed well within our budget.  

We never imagined our home could be as beautiful as it is now.  Since Kristy has worked her design magic on our home, we are proud to have people over, to show it off.  We give her complete credit for everything, and never hesitate to tell everyone who sees our home that it is all thanks to Kristy, because we were not able to even imagine what she created for us.  Everything, down to the smallest floral arrangement is perfect!  

We are so happy to have met and worked with Kristy, and will continue to work with her on our future design needs!

I would just like to take this opportunity to tell you what a wonderful designer Kristy Nichols has been for my home and me.  The first project that I worked on with Kristy was to design a guest room out of an unused bedroom and then update my younger daughter’s bedroom.  When I saw the presentation of what she planned to do for those rooms, I quickly expanded the project to include my older daughter’s bedroom and the hall bathroom.  These rooms came out so beautifully that my master bedroom and bathroom looked cold and outdated by comparison.  Shortly after the first rooms were completed, I asked her to re-design those as well, so now my entire upstairs is finished and looks gorgeous!  I have had several guests, family members, and even contractors comment on how beautiful my home looks.  Needless to say, we have moved on to start working on the first floor of my home!  

Kristy really listens to what you are looking for and observes how the room is used or how you envision it to be used when she does her designs.  She takes into account your taste, and can work with the pieces that you have, or completely start over.  All the rooms she has done for me have become much more inviting and useful.  I have some rooms in my home that are unique and challenging in their layout, but she has transformed all of them beyond my expectations.  

Not only are Kristy’s designs beautiful and unique, but also her service to her clients is unparalleled.  She always returns calls prompty, always greets you so cheerfully, and follows up on every detail.  So far, no problem has come up that he hasn’t been able to solve with a workable and beautiful solution.  She consistently goes above and beyond compared to the service of anyone else that I have ever worked with on interior design.  She makes sure the room is set up and looks the way we both had envisioned it, down to the smallest detail.  I really appreciate that aspect of working with her, because that is not a skill or talent that I possess.  I want my home to be beautiful, and Kristy is heping me achieve that goal in ways I could never have imagined.

We worked with Kristy to redesign our living room/dining room.  We were faced with a cramped space and too much clutter, yet we also wanted multiple uses out of that space.  We knew the feeling that we wanted to end up with, we just didn’t know how to get there. Kristy did an excellent job of listening to our wants and tastes and translating them to a room with flow, beauty, and style that met all our demands.  She had a vision of how to create extra seating in a space where we thought it could not be done.  Kristy is extremely talented, and has a terrific eye for color, space, furniture, and details.  We couldn’t be more happy and plan on working with Kristy on our next redesign project.
