Furnishings don’t have to be expensive to be beautiful, and it’s important to remember that high price doesn’t always equal high quality. Buy things because you love them, and always buy the best you can afford.
This coffee table is from a new catalog I just started receiving, and I’ll be looking forward to see what else they have to offer. Look at this wonderful guy:
This is the “Anywhere Coffee Table” from Country Door. He’s 44w x 24d x 17h, made of solid wood with a galvanized top, and is weather treated, so you could use him indoors or out. I absolutely ADORE him. (I’m on a bit of a galvanized kick right now, so they are totally playing to my weakness…)
Put him in the family room and stop harping about coasters. Put him in the play room and let the kids do their worst. Put him in the Man Cave for an extra manly touch of manliness. I love the idea of putting 2 of these together to make a square (more or less) and using it with a sectional.
I wouldn’t have flinched if the price had been $400 – $600… but it’s not. You’re not going to believe this… It’s on sale for $139.99. No kidding.
If you love him as much as I do, you can get him here:
Ok ok ok… You probably don’t want to get up close and personal with him while wearing pantyhose. Aaaaaaaand I wouldn’t want to see your toddler barreling headlong at one of those corners. User discretion is advised. (As with anything, a leeeetle common sense goes a long way. :))
Important note: See Joan’s comment below!

Did you actually buy this table? I did and I’m sending it back. There were several places on the legs that had splintered wood and lacked adequate stain. The holes were drilled incorrectly, so it was actually impossible to put together. The metal had a bed and a dent in it. I was so looking forward to this table as an addition to my living room and am very disappointed that it won’t be. On a positive note, Through The Country Door has excellent customer service.
Ack – giant bummer! Thanks for the heads up Joan. No, I’ve not purchased any of their furnishings (and evidently won’t be in the future). I had just gotten the first catalog from them when I saw that table. Alas, yet another adorable piece sinks into the chasm of too-good-to-be-true-dom. :( Relieved to hear they took good care of you though!
The table is on sale for less than $90.00. I love it so much that I’m going to give it another try, but I’m not really holding my breath. I’ve searched for something comparable, with no luck. I’ll let you know how table #2 works out!
Omg, $90?!? I don’t know… for $90, I could put up with quite a bit! My fingers and toes are all crossed for you… Good luck!
Hi
